Annual conferenceRegistration is CLOSED for VPHA's 2023 Annual Conference! We can't wait to see you there!View the VPHA 2023 Annual Conference Program! The Annual Conference will be held on Thursday, September 21 from 8:15 AM - 4:00 PM and Friday, September 22 from 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM. Breakfast will be provided both days, along with lunch on Thursday. A Conference reception will be held on Thursday, September 21 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Three Notch'd Craft Kitchen and Brewery. Conference Location Reynolds Community College, Massey Library Technology Center Parham Road Campus Agenda At a Glance We are thrilled to announce that we will have two keynote speakers this year. Our Thursday keynote speaker is Dr. Karen Shelton, Virginia's State Health Commissioner. Our Friday keynote speaker is Dr. Chris Chanyasulkit, President of the American Public Health Association. We will also host two plenary sessions, "Building and Sustaining a Diverse Public Health Workforce", and "Boots on the Ground:' Practicing Public Health in Virginia's Communities". Finally, there will be member-directed breakout sessions, where members will share what they're doing to improve Virginia's public health. Additional Attendee Information The conference reception will be held at Three Notch’d Brewing Company (2930 W Broad St.) in Richmond from 5-7pm on Thursday September 21. Please note that parking spaces are limited at the brewery, but there is street parking nearby. We strongly urge those staying at the Courtyard in Scott’s Addition to walk - it’s less than a mile away - or to take the GRTC Pulse. We encourage locals and those staying at the Courtyard in Short Pump to carpool or rideshare.
